Christopher Brandenburg taught instrumental music in the Lakota district for 35 ½ years prior to retiring.  In that time, he was the Lakota High School director of bands, the Hopewell Junior School director of bands, the Freshman school director of bands, and associate director of the Lakota West HS bands. (Read  More)

Earl Jones is a 1957 graduate of Lemon- Monroe High School where he was active in band and choir. He graduated from Miami University with a Bachelor of Science in Music Education and a Master of Music in Trumpet Performance. Mr. Jones studied trumpet in France at the Paris American Academy with Pierre Thibaud. (Read  More)

Founder of the Southwestern Ohio Symphonic Band, William Stiehl conducted and acted as the band's Music Director for its first fifteen years.  At its inception, the band was one of the only two registered symphonic bands in the nation. The band was well known in the TriState area and played to large audiences through the 1970's and early 80's. (Read  More)

Sam Ashworth has been playing trombone since the 5th grade, when his father, a music teacher in Eaton, Ohio, brought home an instrument for him to try.  He played in several bands in college at Miami University, but decided to major in Design, receiving a BFA degree in 1964. Two years later, while working at Armco Steel in Middletown, Sam put his musical ability to use again.
